The Indian Ambassador visits NIAS

Last week the Indian Ambassador to Denmnark Niraj Srivastava visited NIAS.
The ambassador met with several relevant people, and we enjoyed a wide-ranging discussion with him, agreeing on a number of points.

Dr. Sayyed Mahdi Ziaei new Guest Researcher at NIAS

Dr. Sayyed Mahdi Ziaei is a senior Economics lecturer from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He will stay at NIAS from 23 of January till 22 of February.
While at NIAS, Mahdi will focus on one of his several areas of interest: "The evaluating effects of financial variables on indicators such as, Genuine Progress Indicator (Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare), Human Development Index, Gross National Happiness (GNH) and some others. As Denmark and Nordic countries have very well progress in these fields, I am eager to have some studies on this area in my short trip visit. It is expected that in future I will have the comparative research Between European countries and East Asian countries in this field of study".

New Chinese Ambassador to Denmark visits NIAS

On Friday 10 January the new Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Mr Liu Biwei together with Ms. Fu Wenyan, Head of the Political Section, and Mr. Hu Yi, First Secretary paid an introductory visit to NIAS.

We warmly welcome Mr Liu Biwei, and look forward to future cooperation.
