Open Lecture: The Rise of Xi Jinping and the Closing of the Chinese Mind

Tuesday, June 16, 2015 - 11:00 to 12:30

Join NIAS and the Fudan-European Centre for China Studies for this exciting lecture by Professor Willy Wo-Lap Lam, Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Professor Lam is, among other things, the author of five books analyzing China's political front figure since Zhao Ziyang. His most recent book, “Chinese Politics in the Era of Xi Jinping: Renaissance, Reform, or Retrogression?”, explores how a relatively undistinguished regional official became one of the most powerful and charismatic leaders in the history of the People’s Republic.
