Feminist activism in the PRC: Generational changes, global connections

NIAS was present at the annual University of Copenhagen Asian Dynamics Initiative Conference, 20-22 June 2016, with a panel on ‘Feminist activism in the PRC: Generational changes, global connections. The panel was organized by Cecilia Milwertz in collaboration with anthropologist Elisabeth Engebretsen, the University of Oslo.

The panel included 13 papers by scholars from China, Europe and the US, screening of the documentary film Hooligan Sparrow on feminist activist Ye Haiyan, as well as a celebration of a three new books edited or written by panel participants:
